Why you should do a HydraFacial and Dermaplaning before your Wedding Day

Prepping your skin before your big day is crucial. You should establish a consistent skin care routine that works for you about a year out from your wedding day. This gives the skin enough time to heal from any prior breakouts or blemishes and keeps it on a healthy schedule. A proper skin care routine allows your skin to be at its best on your big day. You are going to be wearing makeup all day for your wedding; therefore, if your skin is properly taken care of, your makeup will go on seamlessly and look beautiful. With that being said, I recommend getting a HydraFacial and Dermaplaning before your wedding day as a final touch. Before you go asking, “What is a HydraFacial?” or “What is Dermaplaning?” I have it all spelled out for you here.

HydraFacial Treatment

A HydraFacial is a treatment that is performed by a patented device to deeply exfoliate, cleanse, and hydrate your face. This process leads to the removal of any dead skin, dirt, and unnecessary oils on your face. A HydraFacial is the most common facial among the rest. This type of facial is a 4-step process that works well on all skin types.

  • Step 1: Cleansing/Exfoliating: In this step, your aesthetician will use a want to cleanse and exfoliate your skin to kill any dead skin cells and open your pores.

  • Step 2: Chemical Peel: This process is different from other facials because it does not leave your skin red or irritated for days. It gently peels your skin to get deeper into your skin to get rid of any debris that did not come out in the step 1.

  • Step 3: Extraction: Extraction is the process of using a vacuum to suck up any blackheads or blemishes on your face.

  • Step 4: In the final part of your facial, your aesthetician will use the wand to put serums and other beneficial nutrients to your skin to leave your skin glowing.

What are the benefits of a HydraFacial? This type of facial is beneficial to all skin types, has a consistent positive outcome, and shows immediate results. This will allow your makeup to go on your skin smoothly with no creases and blemishes.

Dermaplaning Treatment

Now onto Dermaplaning… what is it? Like a HydraFacial, Dermaplaning exfoliates your face to remove any dead skin cells and any hairs from your skin to produce a result of glowing, youthful skin. This treatment leads to a brighter and smoother skin complexion and a flawless makeup application. There is no pain at all in the process either. It is recommended that you do this treatment 1 week before your wedding day. This allows your skin enough time to relax without any makeup on your face.
