Inside Look into a True (Cinderella) Love Story
How we met:
I had moved to Boston in the summer of 2014 not really knowing many people. One of my best friends and one of Bhartesh’s best friends who had grown up together thought they should introduce us and had given us each the other’s number. After talking to each other for a few weeks we had decided to meet for a quick drink after work. What was meant to be a short meet up turned into hours of conversation at a local South End tapas restaurant just getting to know each other. From that point on realized we had something special and were lucky enough to find another person who shared the same goals and philosophies in life.
How he proposed:
A few years after of dating in Boston our jobs had taken us to different cities (me to Philadelphia and Bhartesh to New York City). One of my friends had asked if I wanted to see a Broadway show that was playing in Philly and mentioned it would be great if I could get Bharteshto come into town that weekend. So thinking I had planned a night out we were on our way to dinner before the Broadway show when Bhartesh asked if we could stop by Logan fountain to take a picture. At this point I thought we would be late to dinner, so I refused and said we could do it after if there was time. He insisted, and on our walk to the fountain I slowly realized that our friends and family had been waiting and he proposed in front of the fountain! I was completely surprised thinking I had planned the evening!
