Here are some of our favorite products to help treat acne and keep your skin looking smooth and healthy.

Salicylic Acid 2% Masque

As everyone knows, salicylic acid is one of the most well-known ingredients in skincare to prevent and treat acne. The Ordinary has a charcoal face masque that enhances the appearance of a smooth and clear complexion. It contains clay and charcoal ingredients that cleanse the skin deep down into the pores, by removing facial impurities that can remain on the skin’s surface and clog pores. It is also beneficial to use if you have signs of congestion, uneven skin tones, and any signs of aging. However, like any other product that contains salicylic acid, this masque can dry out your skin which is why it is crucial to always moisturize your skin at the end of your skincare routine. This masque should be used once or twice a week on clean, dry skin. Do not use on wet skin. Apply evenly across the face using fingertips, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for no more than 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

This high-strength vitamin and mineral blemish formula reduces the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion. It works to exfoliate the skin's topmost surface for a brighter and more even appearance while clearing pore congestion. The solution contains a Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative to reduce irritation associated with acid use since it is filled with a high concentration of free acids. It must be applied twice a week on completely dry skin evenly across the face and neck using your fingertips, avoiding the eye area. You must leave on for no more than 10 minutes and should rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. If you experience a little tingling sensation it is okay because this product uses a high concentration of chemicals. However, if the sensation starts to burn your skin by the slightest bit and feels uncomfortable it is best to wash your face and dispose of the product. It is best to use this on non-sensitive, damage-free skin to treat acne, and uneven skin tones.
