Myth: Botox injections will hurt

This is not the case when it comes to Botox. In fact, Botox is one of the least painful/uncomfortable procedures or surgeries there are! Most clients would describe thee feeling as a “minor pinch.”

  1. Fact: It works to prevent new wrinkles

Squinting, aging, tanning, and basic facial expressions are four of the leading causes of wrinkles. Botox works to smooth out the lines and wrinkles that already exist on your face, and help reduce/prevent any new ones from forming.

  2. Myth: Botox gives you a “frozen” appearance

This is one of the most common misconceptions about Botox. If performed correctly by a professional, this procedure leaves you with a natural look. It gives you a radiant, younger look to your face.

  3. Fact: Botox takes no time with zero recovery

The majority of patients need no recovery time and experience no side effect after Botox. So casual you can get it done during your lunch break and no one will know!

  4. Myth: Botox is permanent

This one is actually not a fact! Botox typically lasts about 3-4 months, and then it is time for another appointment if you choose! If there is ever a reason when you chose to stop getting Botox, you are able to seize any more future injections without any harm. Botox is completely up to you!

  5. Fact: You can't exercise for 24 hours after receiving Botox injections.

It is important that you do not exercise after the Botox injections to prevent circulation. The circulation can lead to the botulinum toxin to spread to other areas. This makes the Botox injections less effective in the intended areas.
