5 Skincare tips to protect your skin from the sun

The summer months can be crucial on your skin. We all want to be out enjoying the weather laying poolside or at the beach. Too much sun can be bad for you! Exposing your skin to the UVs can lead to sunburn, wrinkles, long term damage to your skin, and dryness. During the summer months, it is important that your skincare routine includes a high amount of SPF to keep your skin healthy and glowing all summer long! These 5 tips are here to help you this summer for the best skin results!

  1. Wear your SPF: This is by far the most important tip that I can give you for the summer. SPF should be used all year around, but it is especially important that you use it in the summer. No one likes the pain of sunburn, so wear your SPF. Did you know that sunburn can lead to long-term skin damage such as rapid aging, wrinkles, and excessive dryness? It is very easy to prevent that by applying SPF often throughout the day.

  2. Drink water: Staying hydrated is extremely important in the summer. Not only is it good for your overall health, but it also allows your skin to remain glowing this summer. The sun completely dries

  3. Remember your eyes and lips: When applying your sunscreen it’s very easy to forget to apply to your eyelids and lips. Your lips are extremely sensitive allowing them to peel and dry easily then other parts of your face. Apply sunscreen to your eyelids and don’t forget to wear sunglasses as an extra layer of protection.

  4. Apply Aloe after a day in the sun: Using aloe after exposing your skin to a day in the sun is an important way to soothe your skin. It adds a temporary relief to any sunburn that you may have and it is totally refreshing! I recommend keeping aloe in your fridge to give it the most refreshing effect!

  5. Cleanse: Cleansing your skin after a long day is extremely crucial. A mix of sweat, dirt, and products on your skin can leave it feeling greasy or dirty. Cleansing removes all of those oils or dirts on your face leaving you with a fresh canvas.
