Trending makeup and hairstyles are constantly changing. One year everyone will be into smokey eyes and then the next year is all about natural eye makeup. Wedding looks, in particular, are always changing in styles depending on what is trending and where. Indian wedding makeup and hair have always been different from the traditional American wedding looks. However, many people have started to realize that Indian makeup looks can look a little too over-the-top. Throughout time, Indian makeup artists started to change their makeup and hair looks from being colorful and over-the-top to more natural and subtle and focusing on enhancing and not masking the best features of the Indian bride. Read all about the trending wedding looks of 2020 that you should do for your special day!

A lot of people nervously search for the right makeup artist for their Indian wedding, in fear of hiring someone who does their makeup too over-the-top and colorful. This is due to the fact that in recent years, it has become extremely popular to go for a natural look with a lot of nude tones. You do not want your face to be too heavy on the blush or have a rugged bronzer application. The best makeup look for your wedding should be natural with subtle bronzer and blush and smooth contouring that shapes your face. Highlight is also very important and has stayed trending for years now. People love to have a glowing complexion but make sure you are not looking too shiny or extremely dewy. There should be a fine line between matte and dewy for your foundation and your skin should look hydrated and smooth! Too much shine will create a glare with flash photography making you look more white and not your natural skin tone.

Eyes

For eyes, it used to be all about the smoky eye in the early 2000s and then transitioned to more subtle, mauve, and neutral tones. People do not want a bright color that pops out too much on their eyes. Eye makeup should stay natural with light pink, nude skin tones while also framing the lid with a slightly darker tone within the crease. Cat eyes are also very popular as well as winged eyeliner. However, do not go overboard with a cat-eye and make your eye look like it is covered completely in eyeliner. You want to have simple winged eyeliner that enhances your eyes depending on the shape of your eyes (ie. if you have a hooded eye, a winged eyeliner may not be the way to go). False eyelashes are also a fun touch to add and can make your eyes stand out even more. Some brides are against anything looking artificial and in that case, we recommend either an individual lash application or getting permanent lashes that will last them through many of their events. These days, mink lashes are also a great option and many look very natural. Check out our Cinderella Lashes brand under the shop section!

Lips

Keep a natural, pink lip!

Keep a natural, pink lip!

The best tones to use for lips must depend upon the rest of the makeup itself as well as the outfit. If you went with the popular natural eye look, then we recommend you keep your lipstick looking natural as well with a glossy pink or mauve tone. However, you can also go for a classic red lip if it matches your outfit and can make your makeup pop out in a subtle way if your eyeshadow is not too colorful. Do not overline your lips too much or else you might ruin the entire makeup look. The best way to know if you like it or not would be to simply try out the colors during your makeup trial.

Up-do Hairstyles

Styling your hair into an up-do is one of the most classic wedding looks to go for. Recently, people have been styling their hair into wispy hairstyles rather than tight, pinned ones. Throughout the years, you have probably seen a lot of brides with tight buns or up-dos that pin their hair all the way back, without leaving any strand loose. However, if you want to stay with the times and keep up with all the latest trends you will want to keep your hair in a loose, bun, or wispy up-do. People used to think loose buns seem messy or unkempt, however, everyone is trying to pull off the perfect wispy hairstyle that looks naturally flawless and does not look like it requires any effort. A lot of brides put their hair up in a stunning loose bun and have a few strands of hair loose, creating a wispy effect. Wispy hair is neither straight or curly, it is a combination of both since it is slightly straight at the top and forms small curls at the bottom.

Having your hair down at your wedding is not as traditional as having an up-do but is still a gorgeous way to flaunt your luscious hair. Straight hair left the scene years ago and is not into style anymore. The best way to style your hair down for your wedding is through Hollywood curls. This is the trending look of 2020 and the past few years and is guaranteed to make you look like a celebrity at your fabulous Indian wedding. Indian brides are complimented on their natural, thick hair so what better way to showcase their gorgeous locks than by curling them in the most beautiful way. Hollywood curls have been around for years and are finally back. We are loving the looks of the recent Indian brides showing off this hairstyle and believe it is a classic way to style your hair for your wedding.

Keep up with these trending makeup and hair looks for your wedding day so that you slay your bridal glam and look like a princess! We hope our advice helps you in choosing your wedding day look! And remember we at Cinderella Bridez strongly believe that “Less is More” and the look you choose now should look classic 20 to 30 to 40 years from now for your Indian Wedding.
