8 Must-Haves in Your Bridal Beauty Kit

As a makeup artist, it is crucial to have all of the latest and greatest products in your beauty kit. More specifically for weddings, there are certain products that are more important than others. Some products should be waterproof, some products should be liquid, and some products should be matte. All of this depends on what your specific client is looking for, the weather, and the time of year. It is important that you create a look that photographs well, is long-lasting, and most importantly, makes your bride feel like the best version of themselves! I have provided you with a list of 8 products that are a MUST in your bridal beauty kit.

1. Eyelashes: It is important that you spend a few extra dollars to get long lasting eyelashes. I believe that your makeup look is not complete without a set of beautiful eyelashes. Eyelashes enhance your eyes and make them pop!

2. Eyeshadow Primer: Your eye makeup is the focus point of your makeup. It is important that the eyeshadow look that you create stays on throughout your celebration. Whether your event is 3 hours or 15 hours, it is crucial that your eyeshadow stays on and does not smear. Eyeshadow primer is important because it locks your eyeshadow in place and is smudge proof. It will also prevent any running when you cry.

3. Waterproof Eyeliner: Eyeliner is one of those “finishing touches” on an elegant eye look. It perfectly ties in your eyeshadow look to your lashes. It is important that your eyeliner is waterproof so it does not run when you have teary eyes. Whether it is a pencil or liquid eyeliner it should be waterproof. Waterproof eyeliner works well in your waterline and on your lid.

4. Waterproof Mascara: CRY PROOF! Do I need to say anymore??

5. Silicone Airbrush Foundation: Airbrush foundation that is silicone-based is water and sweat resistant. It seals in the makeup and creates a barrier for sweat and tears.

6. Waterproof lipstick: Many makeup artists use a lip stain on their brides because they are long lasting. You are going to be kissing, eating, and drinking, so your lip product must be good quality. You do not want to use a product that is going to constantly require touch-ups.

7. Powder: It is important to set your foundation with baking powder. This will lock the foundation in place and prevent you from looking oily. It is especially important to apply baking powder under your eyes to prevent any sort of creasing.

8. Setting Spray: Setting spray is the last and easiest step of your whole look. You want to evenly spray the person's face and neck with a long-lasting setting spray. This will complete your makeup look and lock it all in place so you can have a night you will never forget!
